IKEA’s new Montreal location, which is scheduled to be completed this summer, will be a highly energy efficient retail outlet, the company said in a recent statement. This new store will join those in Ottawa, Richmond and Winnipeg as being 40% more energy efficient than those IKEA built in the early 2000s.
Canadians aren’t doing a good job of conserving energy, according to a recently survey from the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance. It shows that while 75% believe conserving energy is very important, only 22% are doing everything they can to reduce their usage.
