Six new public electric vehicle charging stations are now in operation on Quebec City’s Université Laval. The stations are part of The Electric Circuit’s growing network of public EV charging terminals.
Ballard Power Systems Inc. and Van Hool NV have signed a memorandum of understand to develop more fuel buses for the European market. The two companies plan to respond to requests for proposals in February 2014 following last week’s call under the EU Hydrogen Fuel Cell Joint Undertaking.

The Electric Circuit’s first 400 volt fast charging station has been installed at the St-Hubert restaurant in Boucherville, the initiative announced this week. The move adds to the initiative’s 230 already deployed 240-volt charging stations throughout the province.
Ballard Power Systems has inked a series of definitive agreements that will support the rollout of hydrogen fuel cell buses in China through its partner Azure Hydrogen. Buses are expected to hit the roads in 2015. The multi-year definitive deals, announced earlier this week follow a memorandum of understanding signed in May.
