Air Canada is participating in the Civil Aviation Alternate Fuel Contrail and Emissions Research project (CAAFCER) project. Led by the the National Research Council of Canada, its aim is to test the environmental benefits of biofuel use on contrails.
The government of Canada is contributing nearly $70 million from its Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) for 26 water and wastewater projects in Quebec and Manitoba. Including provincial and municipal funding of more than $52 million, the total amount jumps to approximately $122 million.
