H2O Innovation Inc. has landed two new wastewater projects in the United States, bringing the Montreal-based company’s sales backlog to $58.9 million.

London, Niagara, York Region and Thunder Bay are among the communities to receive federal funding under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) for projects ranging from water treatment, stormwater management and wastewater operations. The announcements were made on May 24.

An overwhelming majority of Canadians believe that businesses “should pay the full cost of delivering and treating the water they use,” according to the most recent results form the RBC Canadian Water Attitudes Survey.

Clearford Water Systems Inc. has substantially completed its long-term project debt financing, the company announced this week.

The Canadian and Quebec governments are investing $23 million in five municipalities to help improve infrastructure for water and wastewater treatment. The federal funds ($13.6 million) were committed under its Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF), while provincial money ($9.3 million) comes from the the New Building Canada Fund-Quebec, Small Communities Fund (NBCF-SCF).
