FilterBoxx Water & Environmental Corp. has introduced a new mobile wastewater treatment system. Dubbed the Rig Combo, it comes fully equipped on a single skid. It will be on display at The Peace Region Petroleum Show, taking place in Grande Prairie AB on May 13 and 14.

David Bromley Engineering Ltd. (DBE) has scored a little more than $3.2 million in Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) funding to commercialize a new, inexpensive and less energy intensive process for treating wastewater from oil sands operations. The Burnaby BC-based company tells Canadian Green Tech in an interview that the money is a big boost to a 28-month trial of its nanoflotation technology.

A majority of Canadians are confident that tap water is drinkable, but a significant portion of the population sees water conservation as a less important issue, according to the results of the recent RBC Canadian Attitudes Water Survey.
